R&J extends a special invitation for YOU to come & see why we feel Winnipeg is truly a special gem of a city that is often overlooked! Join us, we promise you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
Day 1 – Home to Winnipeg
With excitement, we’ll be on the way to Winnipeg and check into our hotel and freshen up before an included welcome dinner. For the next four nights we are guests at the Historic Fort Garry Hotel with modern-day style and conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg.

Day 2 – Winnipeg
Have you ever wanted to visit Churchill and see the polar bears? We will have an opportunity to visit the exhibit “Journey to Churchill” at the Assiniboine Park Zoo, a unique and inviting destination where warm spaces welcome you as you come face to face with polar bears! Inside the Sea Ice Passage, you will be thrilled by polar bears and ringed seals swimming overhead and darting amongst the ice. Next a local guide joins us as we explore this beautiful city with its cosmopolitan and unique sights. We’ll visit beautiful Assiniboine Park, boasting 376 acres of lawns, trees, and a beautiful English Garden. Sights include the Historic Exchange District, the Legislative Building, and the “French Quarter” with the St. Boniface Cathedral. Return to the hotel and enjoy some free time before attending Folklorama and experience delicious food, song, and dance at three Super Gourmet Pavilions.
Included Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 – Winnipeg
After breakfast we tour the Winnipeg Royal Canadian Mint, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility established in 1976. They say that money makes the world go ‘round’ and here’s our chance to see first-hand where it all begins. Then we visit Fort Gibraltar on the banks of the Red River, where colorful characters living to the “beat” of 1815 greet us & take us to a world away. Once a North West Company fur trade post, Fort Gibraltar reflects the lifestyle of the settlement and the roles played by the Metis, settlers, explorers, aboriginal people and the adventuresome voyageurs. Visit the Trading Post, Workshop, Blacksmith’s Shop, and more before enjoying a traditional French lunch at the Fort. Next we head to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, which will take us on a journey of education and inspiration unlike anything we’ve experienced before. Afterwards we’ll return to the hotel, which is within walking distance to the Forks. During some free time you may choose to visit the Forks, Winnipeg’s number one tourist destination, located at the junction of the Assiniboine & mighty Red Rivers. The Forks has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years for early Aboriginal trading, fur trading, Scottish settlers, and tens of thousands of immigrants. Rich in history and natural beauty, it now has an array of dining and shopping experiences.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 4 – Winnipeg
Today we’re special guests at a Hutterite Colony for a home-cooked lunch and tour. This will be a memory you will long remember as this personal visit reflects their ways, beliefs, and progressive farming. Tonight we attend the live musical production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” at the Rainbow Stage, Canada’s longest-running outdoor theatre! As the iconic dome is transformed into a carriage, we’ll love how this beloved fairy tale comes to life!
Included Meals: Lunch
Day 5 – Winnipeg to Home
Enjoy our last meal together before our journey home begins. We’ll stop at the border for some duty-free shopping and then reminisce together about our exciting experiences as “World Travelers.”
