Day 1 – Home to Anchorage, AK

We fly into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Upon arrival into Anchorage, we’ll meet our coach driver as well as our local, expert guide that we are privileged to have join us for the entirety of the tour. We check into our hotel for an overnight stay and enjoy a welcome dinner as we get to know one another.

Day 2 – Anchorage to Denali National Park, AK

After breakfast we will board the motorcoach for a journey north to Denali National Park. The route takes us along scenic Parks Highway, which criss-crosses the Susitna River, perfect for making several stops along the way. Watch for a glimpse of majestic Denali and wildlife as we travel along. We’ll check into our hotel, located inside Denali National Park, for a two-night stay. Dinner is served together this evening.

Day 3 – Denali National Park

After an early breakfast, this morning we travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, searching the vast wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. Keep in mind that we are entering a self-contained, undisturbed preserve and the animals are in their natural habitat. This journey is narrated, allowing for insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region. A snack is included onboard. Then enjoy an afternoon of exploring this pristine area at your leisure. (If time allows and you wish to add an optional excursion to your afternoon schedule, the options will be explained & booked during the tour with our expert guide at your own expense.) Join us this evening for an Alaskan Cabin Nite Dinner and entertainment.

Day 4 – Denali National Park to Talkeetna, AK

Breakfast will be included and then the morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. We will then head to the Denali Rail Depot where we will board the Wilderness Express, a deluxe railcar featuring a full-length, curved glass dome that provides spectacular 360-degree views! We’ll enjoy a first-class lunch prepared by the on-board chef. Relax in the railcar’s comfortable seats and also be sure to visit the outside, open-air viewing platform during our scenic rail journey south to the quaint town of Talkeetna, which began as a trading post when gold was first discovered in the Susitna River.

Day 5 – Talkeetna to Seward, AK

After breakfast we will board our deluxe motorcoach for today’s grand adventure to Seward, the gateway of the Kenai Fjords National Park. As we travel along picturesque Turnagain Arm, keep an eye out for Dall sheep high up in the rocky cliffs, as well as moose, bear and eagles!

Day 6 – Seward

Breakfast will be included before the morning is yours to explore the coastal community of Seward. Later this morning, we experience a narrated, 4.5-hour natural history and wildlife cruise through Resurrection Bay and its surrounding waters. Marvel at the hanging glaciers of Thumbs Cove and the awe-inspiring Bear Glacier, the largest in Kenai Fjords National Park, originating from the vast Harding Icefield. These stunning landscapes provide the perfect setting for unforgettable photos! Keep an eye out for horned and tufted puffins, common murres, bald eagles, and other pelagic seabirds. Sail past Steller sea lion haul-outs and explore lush coves like Emerald and God’s Pocket. As we journey through the nutrient-rich, pristine waters, watch for sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, orcas, and humpback whales. Listen closely for the iconic call of “There she blows!” An included lunch will be served on board as we take in the magnificent sights.

Day 7 – Seward to Anchorage, AK

Breakfast will be included this morning before we ride the motorcoach back to Anchorage today. Upon arrival into Anchorage, enjoy a brief city tour, featuring the historic downtown area as well as the Anchorage Museum, a world-class museum which seeks to preserve, exhibit, and interpret the art and history of Alaska. Tonight, we’ll share stories of our Alaskan Adventure with our traveling companions at a farewell dinner.

Day 8 – Anchorage to Home

One last breakfast is served this morning. Our adventure comes to an end as we fly home with incredible memories of Alaska’s Central National Parks!
