Day 1 – Home to Lake Geneva, WI
Our gem-filled adventure starts out as we travel through the Wisconsin countryside. We’ll easily settle into our rooms at the wonderful Lake Lawn Resort, located on beautiful Delavan Lake! Tonight, we’ll head to the Rosewood for a farm to table dinner experience and “America’s Bandstand” show. This show takes us back to the sock hops, spotlighting Rockabilly, Doo-Wop and Motown artists, songs and the history of early Rock and Roll. Enjoy songs by Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Diana Ross, Neil Sedaka, The Everly Brothers and many, many more!

Day 2 – Lake Geneva area
Enjoy breakfast at the resort before we board The Walworth for a scenic and unique US Mailboat cruise! For over 100 years, mail has been delivered around the lake by boat. This 2 1/2 hour cruise will take us around the entire lake as we watch the mail person leap off the front of the boat onto residents’ docks, deliver and collect the mail, before jumping back aboard the back of the moving Walworth! Truly exciting and unique! After disembarking, have lunch on own in downtown Lake Geneva with time to shop the quaint stores. Then we will visit the Lake Geneva Museum, which captures the history of the Geneva Lakes Area over many decades to the present. The artifact collections of furniture, clothing, boats, instruments, and more, are items from the area, most of which have been donated by residents whose families have made the whole area what it is today. Afterwards, we’ll head to Lake Geneva Country Meats. Here we will sample “everything Wisconsin!” – sausages, cheeses and wine – with an opportunity to purchase your favorites. A delicious dinner is included tonight at Lake City Social.

Day 3 – Delavan Lake area
Following a hot buffet breakfast, we will visit the incredible Yerkes Observatory, home to the world’s largest refracting telescope. The barrel of the telescope is 64 feet long & weighs six tons! There is much to see & experience here. Lunch is served at Pier 290 before we’re guests at The Dancing Horses Theatre for a dazzling spectacle featuring an array of horse breeds who perform alongside their trainers in a fantastic cavalcade of equestrian artistry. Created from one person’s vision and their infinite love for horses, the show is meant to evoke memories that many of us have from childhood. Returning to our resort, the remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy the resort’s amenities and beautiful setting. Then it’s time to set sail on Delavan Lake for a wonderful dinner cruise. As we enjoy a nice meal, take in the quiet coves and tree-lined shores as well as the charming lakefront homes, including five remarkable homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Then, what better way to end our day together than by gathering for a bonfire, complete with gooey s’mores!

Day 4 – Lake Geneva to Home
After one last breakfast, we depart our resort for the East Troy Depot. First, we’ll enjoy browsing their museum, located where five rotary converters once sat, as well as their gift shop. Then it’s all aboard – time to board the electric train for a ride through picturesque Wisconsin countryside. As we rail along, we’ll hear stories about electric railroading and their local history. Enroute we will make a stop at The Elegant Farmer, an old country store, where you may wish to purchase a fresh bakery treat! Returning to the depot, we’ll board our coach for home. With smiles on our faces, we’ll fondly recall these last four days with our new travel friends!
