Day 1 – Home to Dubuque, IA
As we make our way to Dubuque, we will first stop at the Field of Dreams movie site where we’ll walk around, take pictures, be treated to a tour of the house, and spend some time with one of the original ghost players! We will then be welcomed as guests at the luxurious Hotel Julien, featuring historic character and modern refinement. Next a welcome dinner is catered at Steeple Square, a historic 1867 German church which has been converted into a beautiful, unique event space.

Day 2 – Dubuque – Cruising to LeClaire, IA
Our excitement for the day builds as we enjoy breakfast at the hotel. First we will visit the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium where history, wildlife, and river lore come to life. Then we will spend a special day aboard the Riverboat Twilight. This all-day cruise heads south from Dubuque, allowing us to experience towering bluffs, two Locks & Dams, and quaint river towns along the beautiful Mississippi River. Our cruise includes a full lunch, snacks, and dinner as well as historical narration by our captain who has been piloting riverboats for 30 years on the Upper Mississippi River. Anticipate great scenery, eagles and other migratory birds, more relaxation than you have allowed yourself in years, plus live entertainment! With plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, settle into a sturdy teak rocker or an inviting deck chair & enjoy!

Day 3 – LeClaire to Fort Atkinson, WI
Enjoy an included full breakfast at the hotel before we make our way to the Rock Island Arsenal, which is the Army’s second oldest museum with a fascinating history dating back to 1905. After exploring this interesting museum, we’re treated to lunch at their commissary! Then we’ll cut northeast across Illinois and into Wisconsin. Tonight at the Fireside Dinner Theatre, we are treated to a wonderful plated dinner followed by Heartbreak Hotel. Elvis is back in the building! This official Elvis Presley bio-musical takes a closer look at the rock star and incomparable icon whose impact shaped the history of music and culture. Trapped in a moment of crisis, Elvis is guided by his younger self through the pivotal moments of his life that transformed him into “The King of Rock and Roll.” Heartbreak Hotel features over 40 Elvis hits and iconic songs including, “That’s All Right,” “All Shook Up,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Burning Love,” “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” “Hound Dog,” “Love Me Tender,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Are You Lonesome,” and “Blue Suede Shoes.”
